Japanese: 生活保護基準 - せいかつほごきじゅん

It specifically indicates the minimum standard of living security for public assistance and is decided by the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare. It is also important as the basis for determining the standard of living security for various welfare policies. It is generally calculated on a monthly basis, and in recent years has been revised once a year in response to fluctuations in prices and living expenses. There are three levels of classification based on regional differences (Class 1 areas are roughly large cities, Class 2 areas are medium-sized cities, and Class 3 areas are small cities and others, and the disparity ratios have been 100.0, 91.0, and 82.0, respectively, since 1978).
