Gafu Poetry Collection

A book by Guo Maoqian of the Northern Song Dynasty in China that collects compositions from the pre-Qin and Han dynasties to the Tang and Five Dynasties. It has 100 volumes and is estimated to have been created at the end of the Northern Song Dynasty. It contains about 5,300 pieces, divided into 12 categories: Jiaobyo Songs, Ensha Songs, Gufeng Songs, Yokofu Songs, Sowa Songs, Qing Shang Songs, Dance Songs, Qing Songs, Miscellaneous Songs, Modern Songs, Miscellaneous Songs, and New Music Songs. Originally, music was sung to the accompaniment of musical instruments, but in the Tang Dynasty, many imitations were created that simply borrowed themes unrelated to music, and new songs were also born. This book comprehensively collects them and provides an explanation for each music theme. Many of the traditional Yuefu works from before the Tang Dynasty and materials related to Yuefu have been passed down through this book. There is a version published in the Song Dynasty, which has been facsimile-printed and is widely circulated.

中国、北宋(ほくそう)の郭茂倩(かくもせん)が、先秦(しん)・漢から唐・五代までの楽府作品を集めた書物。100巻。北宋末に成立したと推定される。約5300首を、郊廟(こうびょう)歌辞、燕射(えんしゃ)歌辞、鼓吹(こすい)曲辞、横吹(おうすい)曲辞、相和(そうわ)歌辞、清商(せいしょう)曲辞、舞曲歌辞、琴曲歌辞、雑曲歌辞、近代曲辞、雑歌謡辞、新楽府(しんがふ)辞の12類に分けて収める。本来は楽器の伴奏とともに歌われた楽府は、唐代に入ると、音楽から離れた題を借りただけの擬作が多くつくられ、また新しい歌曲も生まれた。本書はそれらを網羅的に集め、それぞれの楽府題に解説を付す。唐以前の伝統的な楽府作品、および楽府関係の資料は、本書によって伝えられているものが少なくない。宋刊本があり、影印されて流布する。
