Seigaiha
[1][一] The name of a Gagaku piece. Togaku. Shingaku. A medium-sized piece in the Ouzhongcho and Banshikicho styles. For Bugaku, the Banshikicho style is used. Hidari-mai. There are two dancers. The dance is graceful, and the costume is very elaborate, with a robe with a houndstooth pattern over a kimono with a pattern of (二). It is considered to be the most graceful and gorgeous piece among the many Bugaku pieces. ※Genji (c . 1001-14) Momijigaga "The Middle Captain of the Genji danced the beauty of the sea." [二] Kiyomoto. Lyrics by Nagai Sogaku . Music by Kiyomoto Umeyoshi II. First performed in 1897 at Nakamura-ro in Ryogoku, Tokyo. This is the piece to celebrate the succession of the name of Kiyomoto Enjudayu V, and was named after the crest of the first Kiyomoto, which was a blue ocean wave. [1][一] 雅楽の曲名。唐楽。新楽。黄鐘調と盤渉調(ばんしきちょう)の中曲。舞楽の時は盤渉調の曲が用いられる。左方舞。舞人は二人。舞姿は優美であり、衣装は(二)の模様の下襲(したがさね)に千鳥模様の袍を着し、非常に凝ったものである。数ある舞楽中最も優美華麗な曲とされる。※源氏(1001‐14頃)紅葉賀「源氏の中将はせいかいはをぞ舞ひ給ひける」[二] 清元。永井素岳(ながいそがく)作詞。二世清元梅吉作曲。明治三〇年(一八九七)東京両国の中村楼で初演。五世清元延寿太夫の襲名披露曲で、初世の紋が青海波だったことからこの名がつけられた。東北から西国にかけての海の情景をうたったもの。[2] 〘名〙 (一)(一)に用いる、波形を描いた衣服の染模様。また、それに似た模様。浅葱(あさぎ)に藍(あい)で渦(うず)を四分したような形のもの。また、その模様を描いた蒔絵。せいがいなみ。※教言卿記‐応永一二年(1405)八月九日「殊勝御扇、絵〈青海波〉」※洒落本・夜半の茶漬(1788)発端「五十間の砂利に青海波(セイガイハ)のさまを見せ」
