Suruga Dance

Japanese: 駿河舞 - するがまい
Suruga Dance
One of the Gagaku Azuma Asobi . This dance is performed to the accompaniment of Suruga songs. It is based on the legend that a heavenly being descended to Udohama in Suruga Province and danced. It is performed by four or six dancers, and the singers are one beater, one flute player, one hichiriki player, one wagoto player, several tsukeuta players, and a koto bearer.
