A Spanish Dominican missionary. He came to Japan with Francisco Morales in 1602 (Keicho 7) and landed on Koshikijima in Satsuma (Kagoshima Prefecture). In 1605, he went to Omura (Nagasaki Prefecture) to comfort and encourage imprisoned missionaries and believers, and then went to Hirado (Nagasaki Prefecture). He was later appointed vice-provincial of the order and encouraged believers in Nagasaki and Arima (Nagasaki Prefecture) who were under persecution, but in 1617 (Genwa 3), he was arrested and imprisoned in Omura. In 1622, he was burned at the stake along with Franciscan Inspector Apolinario Franco (1570-1622) and others. In 1867, he was listed as a Gospel Martyr.
