Japanese: 寸南破良意 - すなはらい

A joke book written by Nanryodo. Published in 1775 (An'ei 4). One volume. A work based on research at a new brothel on Konnyaku Island (Reigan Island) in Edo, which was established in 1773. Divided into nine chapters on apprentices, troupes, new mats, banto stock, artisans, son stock, kioi, teyo, and kamiyui, the characteristics of the visitors are portrayed through dialogue. The unique customs of the new brothel are also well captured through detailed descriptions. This work is noteworthy as it shows the process by which a joke book captures various types of people.
