Born: November 14, 1878 in Lvov
[Died] May 31, 1957. Skarzysko-Kamiena Polish poet. He was active as a standard-bearer of the "Young Poland" poetry movement. His influence extended to all poets of later generations, including the Scamander school. The style of his works was wide-ranging. He was awarded the State Prize for Literature several times. His representative collections of poems include Sny o potędze (1901) (Dreams about Power), Ptakom niebieskim (05) (To the Birds of the Sky), Ucho igielne (26) (The Eye of a Needle), Barwa miodu (36) (The Color of Honey), Wiklina (54) (Rattan), and others.
