Tokugawa Hidetada's wife. Mother of Iemitsu. Also called Oeyo no Kata, Ogo, Ogo, etc. Her given name was Tatsuko. She was the third daughter of Azai Nagamasa, lord of Odani Castle in Omi, and her mother was Odani (Oichi) no Kata, the younger sister of Oda Nobunaga. In 1573 (Tensho 1), when Odani Castle, which was surrounded by Nobunaga, fell, she escaped with her mother and two older sisters, Ochacha (Yodo-dono, concubine of Toyotomi Hideyoshi) and Hatsu (Joukoin, wife of Kyogoku Takatsugu), and was raised by Nobunaga. When her mother remarried, she moved to Shibata Katsuie's Kitanosho Castle in Echizen, but in 1583, Katsuie committed suicide after being defeated in a conflict with Hideyoshi, and her mother followed suit. She was raised by Hideyoshi along with her sister, and married Saji Kazunari, the lord of Owari Ono Castle, but was divorced at Hideyoshi's request. She became Hideyoshi's adopted daughter and married Hashiba Hidekatsu, but Hidekatsu died in battle in Korea. In 1595 (4th year of Bunroku), she married Tokugawa Hidetada. She gave birth to two sons and five daughters, including Iemitsu, Tadanaga, Senhime, and Wako (Tofukumon'in, the Empress of Emperor Gomizunoo). After her death in Edo Castle, she was awarded the rank of Juichii.
