Born June 20, 1894. After serving as a professor at Rikkyo University, he became a professor at the University of Tokyo in 1948. He made many achievements in the field of educational psychology. After retiring from government, he became a professor at the International Christian University and Sophia University. He passed away on March 14, 1967, at the age of 72. He was born in Nagano Prefecture and graduated from Tokyo Imperial University. His works include "Educational Measurement" and "Educational Psychology."
