The first type is called the Anglo-Saxon or pluralistic model, which corresponds to trade unions in Anglo-Saxon countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, and Ireland. Although there is unity in national centers (such as the British Trade Union Congress (TUC) and the American Federation of Labor (AFL-CIO)), the principle of industrial organization is weak and not thoroughly implemented.
