New Creation Association - Shinseisakuhakyokai

Japanese: 新制作派協会 - しんせいさくはきょうかい

An art group. In 1935, the Minister of Education Matsuda reorganized the Teiten Exhibition. The young artists of the "Second Section," Ise Masayoshi, Inokuma Genichiro, Uchida Iwao, Koiso Ryohei, Sato Kei, Mita Yasushi, Suzuki Makoto, Nakanishi Toshio, and Wakita Kazu, formed the Shinseisakuha Association in July 1936, declaring that they would "not get involved in official exhibitions in an anti-academic artistic spirit." They disliked the political movements of the art world and sought to promote a pure artistic movement. Encouraged by Fujishima Takeji, they held their first exhibition at Ueno Takenodai in the autumn of the same year. The following year, they welcomed Noda Hideo, followed by Migishi Setsuko and Ogisu Takanori as members.

美術団体。1935年の松田文相による帝展改組に反発した〈第二部会〉中の若手画家，伊勢正義，猪熊弦一郎，内田巌，小磯良平，佐藤敬，三田康，鈴木誠，中西利雄，脇田和は，36年7月〈反アカデミックの美術精神に於て官展に関与せず〉と宣言して新制作派協会を結成した。美術家の画壇政治的な動きを嫌い，純粋な芸術運動をすすめようとするもので，藤島武二がこれを励まし，同年秋，第1回展を上野竹之台で開いた。翌年野田英夫，つづいて三岸節子，荻須高徳らを会員に迎えた。
