This is one of the collections of haiku (banquet songs). It was compiled by Miyoku. It was compiled in 1296 (Einin 4). It is the first of a 16-volume collection that includes "Banquet Song Collection" and "Banquet Song Excerpts" (though there are other theories). It contains 10 pieces: "Taiyo," "Yuen," "Yume," "Mujo," "Hokke," "Shakkyo," "Jodo Sect," "Iwai," "Kunbutsu," and "Ame." It contains many masterpieces with Buddhist themes, and corresponds to the collections of "Omonarai-shu" and "Hikyoku-shu," which are collections of "pieces that truly occupy the innermost rank." There are musical scores, such as the handwritten version by Banna (Entoku-ji Temple, Gifu), which contain notes that are important to the history of haiku, as well as oral traditions on singing and performance.
