This theater is located in Tennoji Ward, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture. Its official name is Osaka Shin Kabukiza. It was built in 1958 by Senchi Kanko in Namba, Minami Ward (today's Chuo Ward). The exterior is in the Momoyama-style karahafu style, and it has a sliding stage. The Osaka Kabukiza, which was located in Sennichimae, closed in 1958 due to financial difficulties, and this large theater was built to replace it. Performances in Namba ended in 2009, and it moved to its current location in 2010. It stages popular theater that is not limited to Kabuki. 大阪府大阪市天王寺区にある劇場。正式名称は大阪新歌舞伎座。1958年に千土地観光が南区(今日の中央区)難波に建設。外観は桃山風唐破風造り(からはふづくり)で,スライディング・ステージが採用された。千日前にあった大阪の歌舞伎座が経営難から 1958年に閉館,それに代わる大劇場として建設された。2009年難波での興行は終了し,2010年現在地に移転。歌舞伎にこだわらない大衆演劇を上演している。
