In spring, upright stems grow, reaching a height of 15-30 cm. The basal leaves have forked hairs, but the stems are hairless. The flowers appear in corymbs from April to May, are white, about 5 mm in diameter, and have four sepals and four inflorescences arranged in a cross shape, with two short stamens and four slightly longer stamens. There is one pistil. The fruit is a slender rod with a stalk, 10-16 mm long, that stands up at an angle. Source: Heibonsha World Encyclopedia, 2nd Edition Information |
