Confederate Terra

...However, with the rise of the Fascist movement, its influence declined, and it was forced to disband in 1926 under the Mussolini regime. After the collapse of Fascism, it was re-established in November 1944, but two years later it was reorganized as the General Confederation of Land Workers (Confederazione generale dei lavoratori della terra) (abbreviated as Confederate Terra). In addition to demands such as wage increases and shorter working hours, the Confederate Terra adopted new methods of struggle, such as setting up and operating a job placement office, calling for landlords and agricultural managers to be obligated to employ a certain number of agricultural workers, and implementing collective land leases, in which leases were made by groups.
