Katsuyama Domain (Fukui)

…In 1600 (Keicho 5), Yuki Hideyasu, who ruled Echizen, made Katsuyama Castle his secondary castle and appointed Hayashi Sadamasa with 9,840 koku. In 1624 (Kan'ei 1), Hideyasu's fifth son Matsudaira Naomoto established the Katsuyama Domain with 30,000 koku, and in 1691, Ogasawara Sadanobu was appointed with 22,777 koku and established his domain. Katsuyama was originally called the Katsuyama Sancho (the three towns of Fukuroda, Koori, and Ushiro), and the new fields together had a total of over 2,367 koku. …
