Lyrical Ballads

Japanese: 抒情歌謡集 - じょじょうかようしゅう(英語表記)Lyrical Ballads
Lyrical Ballads
A collection of poems written by British poets W. Wordsworth and S.T. Coleridge. Published anonymously in 1798. A groundbreaking collection that ushered in a new era of Romanticism. Wordsworth's works (19 poems) were "selected themes from everyday life," while Coleridge's works (4 poems) were "supernatural occurrences." The first volume contained Coleridge's masterpiece, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, and the last volume contained Wordsworth's Tintern Abbey Lines. Two years later, Wordsworth's new works were compiled into a separate volume, and the second edition, a two-volume set, was published under Wordsworth's name, with a long preface by Wordsworth including his famous theory on poetic language (added in the third edition (1802)).
