Afforestation
This refers to the work of planting seedlings, sowing seeds, or taking cuttings on logged or previously unforested land in order to create forests. It includes a series of tasks such as preparing the site for planting and transporting the seedlings.

山林とするために、伐採跡地や山林でなかった土地へ、苗木を植えたり、種子をまいたり、さし木する作業をいう。植林の地ごしらえ、苗木運搬など一連の作業をすべて含めた。
