Shoubin
Another name for kingfishers. The birds of the kingfisher family found in Japan for which this name is used as the standard Japanese name are the ruddy kingfisher, the mountain kingfisher, the southern kingfisher, and the Miyako kingfisher. The Kanokoshobin is another name for the Yamasemi. Nowadays, the word shobin is rarely used independently. Kingfisher [Naoya Abe]
