A hot spring in the western part of Minami-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido. It contains boric acid and salt water. It is 80℃ and has a large amount of water. It was applied for and developed by the Echizen monk Jozan in the early Meiji period. The hot spring town developed along the valley of the upper Toyohira River, surrounded by mountains covered in primeval forest. There is a bus service from Sapporo city, and it is one of the centers of Shikotsu-Toya National Park, and there is also a bus service to Lake Toya.
