Japanese: 定山渓[温泉] - じょうざんけい

A hot spring in the western part of Minami-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido. It contains boric acid and salt water. It is 80℃ and has a large amount of water. It was applied for and developed by the Echizen monk Jozan in the early Meiji period. The hot spring town developed along the valley of the upper Toyohira River, surrounded by mountains covered in primeval forest. There is a bus service from Sapporo city, and it is one of the centers of Shikotsu-Toya National Park, and there is also a bus service to Lake Toya. Toyohira Gorge is about 8km upstream.

北海道札幌市南区西部にある温泉。含ホウ酸食塩泉など。80℃，湯量豊富。明治初期越前の僧定山が出願，開発。原始林におおわれた山が迫る豊平(とよひら)川上流の渓谷に沿って温泉街が発達，札幌市街からバスが通じ，支笏洞爺(しこつとうや)国立公園の一中心をなし，洞爺湖へもバスが通じる。上流約8kmに豊平(ほうへい)峡がある。
