Vernal equinox - shunbunten

The vernal equinox is one of two points of intersection (equinoxes) between the celestial equator, which is the projection of the Earth's equator onto the celestial sphere, and the ecliptic, which is the path of the Sun on the celestial sphere. The point where the ecliptic crosses the equator from south to north (ascending node). The moment when the Sun passes this point is the vernal equinox, and the vernal equinox is the 24 hours including this moment. The vernal equinox is the origin of equatorial and ecliptic coordinates, with right ascension and longitude at 0 degrees. Therefore, it is a very important point in the coordinate system in astronomy. Due to the precession of the Earth, the position of the vernal equinox on the celestial sphere moves westward, and it takes about 26,000 years to complete one revolution. Around the 2nd century BC, when the zodiac was organized, the vernal equinox was in Aries, but now it has moved to Pisces. The point where the ecliptic crosses the equator from north to south (descending node) is the autumnal equinox.

地球の赤道を天球に投影した天の赤道と太陽の天球での通り道である黄道の二つの交点（分点）のうち、黄道が赤道を南から北へ交わるほうの点（昇交点）のこと。この点を太陽が通過する瞬間が春分で、春分の日はこの瞬間を含む24時間のことである。春分点を赤経0度かつ黄経0度として赤道座標や黄道座標の原点にしている。したがって天文学における座標系の非常に重要な点である。地球の歳差により天球上における春分点の位置は西向きに移動し、約2万6000年かけて一周する。黄道十二宮が整備された紀元前2世紀ごろには春分点は、おひつじ座にあったが、現在は、うお座に移動している。黄道が赤道を北から南へ交わる点（降交点）は秋分点である。
