1885‐1920 Chinese revolutionary. Born in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. Originally named Daifu. In 1904 (the 30th year of the Guangxu era), he went to Japan to study, studied at Hosei University, and participated in the founding of the China Mengxiang the following year. He was involved in revolutionary propaganda in the magazine Minbao, and was also active in armed struggle, such as party work. After the Xinhai Revolution, he followed Sun Yat-sen consistently to the Chinese Revolutionary Party and the Kuomintang, and in 1920 was asked by the rebel army to mediate, but was mistakenly killed. His death was a blow to the Kuomintang, as can be seen from the fact that Sun Yat-sen mourned the loss of a ``saint of the revolution'' when he heard of his death.
