A painter from the reign of King Sejong to King Seongjong (1418-1494) of the Yi Dynasty of Korea. Born in Jigok (Seosan), Chungcheong Province. His pen name was Katak and his pen name was Hyundongja. He studied the landscape painting style of the Northern and Southern Song dynasties of China and was said to be the leading painter of his time. His Sleeping Adventure to the Peach Blossom Spring Scroll, which he painted for King Sejong's third son, Yi (Prince Anpyeong), is a landscape painting in the style of Kwak Hee and is his greatest surviving work. 朝鮮李朝，世宗〜成宗時代（1418年―1494年）の画家。忠清道地谷（瑞山）の生れ。字を可度(かたく)，号を玄洞子という。中国北宋・南宋時代の山水画の画風を学び，当世の第一人者といわれた。世宗の第３皇子李【よう】（安平大君）のために描いた《夢遊桃源図巻》は郭煕(かくき)風の山水図で，現存中の代表作。
