A large coalfield in Anyuan Town, Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province, China. Coal mining began in 1897, but with the establishment of the Ping Coal Iron and Steel Works Co., Ltd. (1908, capital 20 million yuan), development progressed and the field became one of the largest in Asia. As early as 1909, 6,000 miners joined the anti-Qing movement under the leadership of the China Revolutionary Alliance, and in the early 1920s, a strike movement was launched under the leadership of Mao Zedong, Liu Shaoqi, and others, making the field famous for playing a pioneering role in the modern labor movement.

中国，江西省萍郷市安源鎮の大炭田。光緒 23 (1897) 年に採炭が開始されたが，萍煤鉄廠鉱有限公司の設立 (1908。資本金 2000万元) を機に開発が進み，アジアでも有数の炭田となった。また同 32年，早くも中国革命同盟会の指導のもとに鉱夫 6000人が反清運動に参加，続いて 1920年代初頭，毛沢東，劉少奇らの指導によるストライキ運動を展開するなど近代的労働運動の先駆的役割を果したところとして著名である。
