Japanese: 執着性格 - しゅうちゃくせいかく（英語表記）immodithymia

A personality type proposed by Mitsuzo Shimoda as the premorbid personality of manic-depressive illness. The basis of this personality type is an abnormality in the progression of emotions, where emotions that occur once last for a long time. Personality indicators based on this abnormal temperament include "hardworking, meticulous, thorough, honest, precise, strong sense of justice, inability to cheat or be lazy." This makes the individual reliable and exemplary. The circumstances under which the illness develops are lumped together as "circumstances of overwork for a certain period of time," and examples include "long-term physical illness, sustained overwork of the mind and body, and being absorbed in work."

躁鬱（そううつ）病の病前性格として下田光造が提唱した性格。この性格の基礎には一度起こった感情が長く持続するという感情の経過の異状がある。この異状気質に基づく性格標識は〈仕事熱心，凝り性，徹底的，正直，きちょうめん，強い正義感，ごまかしやずぼらができない〉などである。このため確実人として信頼され模範的人間となる。発病状況については〈ある期間の過労事情〉として一括され，〈長期にわたる身体病，心身の持続的過労，業務熱中〉などがあげられている。
