If converges at z = z ₀ , then P converges for all z where | z |<| z0 |. The upper bound ζ of such values _| z0 | is called the convergence radius, and the circumference ρ=| z | or the interior of _the circle ρ＞| z | is called the convergence circle. In this case, P diverges for z where ρ<| z |. When ρ=+∞, P converges for any z , and when ρ=0, it diverges for all z except z =0. The convergence radius is given by the Cauchy–Hadamard theorem:
