Japanese: 根粒 - こんりゅう(英語表記)root-nodule
Root nodule
A mass shaped like a root or a rootlet. These are tortuous and variable in shape and are thought to fill the space left by the root [Deans: 1934]. In a completely different sense, they are the granule-like parts of the roots of legumes that are symbiotic with rhizobia [Kimura et al.: 1973].
