Schwenckfeld, Kaspar von
Born: 1489. Osig
[Died] December 10, 1561. Ulm German Reformer and preacher. Studied at the universities of Cologne in 1505 and Frankfurt in 1507. He approached Luther at first, but they did not get along, and he developed a moderate Catholic-Lutheran Reformation movement in Silesia. He claimed that the true church is an invisible spiritual thing, and promoted religious freedom. He moved to Strassburg in 1529 due to pressure from the authorities, but there he also came into conflict with the Protestant orthodox. He fled to Augsburg, Tübingen, Ulm, and other places. His followers left the orthodox church and established small associations and brotherhoods, but were persecuted and traveled to Pennsylvania in North America. The Schwenckfeldianorum was founded in 1782, and became the forerunner of the church of the same name that is now centered in Philadelphia. Corpus Schwenckfeldianorum (19 volumes, 1907-61).

『全集』 Corpus Schwenckfeldianorum (19巻,1907~61) 。
