Social insurance benefits

Japanese: 社会保険給付 - しゃかいほけんきゅうふ
Social insurance benefits
Cash or benefits in kind paid to social insurance policyholders, their dependents, and other people who meet the eligibility requirements when an insurance accident occurs. Benefits are divided into sickness benefits, maternity benefits, old age benefits, survivors' benefits, disability benefits, unemployment benefits, employment injury benefits, and medical care, depending on the type of insurance accident that occurs, and in some countries nursing care is a separate benefit. In addition, depending on the form of benefit, a distinction is made between cash benefits and benefits in kind. The majority of cash benefits are income security benefits to compensate for income lost due to the occurrence of an insurance accident, and a typical example of benefits in kind is medical care.
