Freight transported using JR freight cars. Freight that uses containers is called container freight. It is divided into baggage and freight depending on the weight and type. Items up to 3m in length and weighing up to 50kg are treated as baggage (railway baggage), and anything over that is treated as freight. The unit of consignment is one freight car or one container, and the freight rates are the same. However, the freight rates decrease the longer the distance. JRの貨車を使用して運送する貨物。コンテナーを使用する貨物はコンテナー貨物という。重量，種類により荷物と貨物に区分。長さ3m，重量50kgまでのものは荷物（鉄道荷物），それを越えるものが貨物として扱われる。託送の単位は貨車１車あるいはコンテナー１個ごとで，運賃の基準も同じ。ただし，遠距離になるほど運賃は逓減する。
