Freight transported using JR freight cars. Freight that uses containers is called container freight. It is divided into baggage and freight depending on the weight and type. Items up to 3m in length and weighing up to 50kg are treated as baggage (railway baggage), and anything over that is treated as freight. The unit of consignment is one freight car or one container, and the freight rates are the same. However, the freight rates decrease the longer the distance.
