Shibu [Hot Spring] - Shibu

Japanese: 渋[温泉] - しぶ

This hot spring is located in Yamanouchi Town, Shimotakai District, Nagano Prefecture. It is one of the hot spring resorts in Yamanouchi, and has long been known as a therapeutic hot spring. It is a weak saline spring. Temperatures range from 51 to 98 degrees Celsius. There is a hotel district along the Yokoyu River, a tributary of the Hoshi River, leading to Yasudai Onsen. The Jigokudani Fountain (a natural monument) is located upstream of the Yokoyu River. There is a bus service from Yudanaka Station on the Nagano Electric Railway.
