...In the Edo period, when the five-part program (classification method based on the daily program organization standard) of gods, men, women, and mad demons was officially established, this was the Noh play placed second. The main focus was on Shuramono (horror stories), and in addition to the Katsu-Shura of "Tamura", "Yashima", and "Ebira" (the Shura stories other than these three are called Fu-Shura), there were about 16 plays, including "Michimori", "Kiyotsune", "Tomonaga", and "Atsumori" with nobles as shite, "Sanemori" and "Yorimasa" with aged warriors, and "Tomoe" with a female warrior. As the second-most plays, there were plays about crazy men such as "Kumanomonogurui", present-day plays, and obsessive and amusing plays such as "Matsumushi" and "Nishikigi"....
