A Chinese governor who ruled over Giaochi (northern Vietnam) in the 2nd and 3rd centuries. Si Nhep was the son of the governor of Rinan, and was appointed as the governor of Giaochi at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty. Taking advantage of the unrest in the central government, he made his family governors of Hepu, Jiuzhen (Thanh Hoa), and Nanhai (Guangdong), establishing a semi-independent system. During the Three Kingdoms period, he was subordinate to Wu, but during this time peace was maintained south of Hepu for 40 years, and as a result, Chinese intellectuals who were trying to avoid war gathered here in large numbers. After his death, Wu defeated the Si clan and made the area a direct colony of China again.

2～3世紀，交趾郡(ベトナム北部)を支配した中国人太守。シーニェプは日南郡の太守の子で，後漢末に交趾太守に任ぜられたが，中央の乱れに乗じて，一族を合浦，九真(タインホア)，南海(広東)の太守とし，半独立の体制をつくった。三国時代には呉に服属したが，この間40年にわたって合浦以南の平和を保ち，このため戦乱を避けた中国文化人が盛んにこの地に集まった。彼の死後，呉はシー一族を倒して，再び中国の直轄植民地とした。
