A mountain pass on the border between Vorarlberg and Tyrol in western Austria. It is located on the watershed between the Rhine and Danube, with an altitude of 1,802m. The railway, which opened in 1884, passes through a 10,240m long tunnel at its highest point of 1,310m. The surrounding area is home to international skiing centers such as St. Anton, Lech, and Zurs.
