The title of a Kyogen song. A short song about the cherry blossoms at Jishu Gongen at Kiyomizu-dera Temple in Kyoto, a famous place of interest. It also appears in the Kan'ginshu and the female Kabuki dance song Nazo no Odori, and is thought to have influenced early modern songs. In Kyogen, it is sung by female roles in Ochanomizu (Mizu-kumi), Kiyomizu Zatō, Saru-zatō, and others. Musically, it is treated as a kouta (short song), with an elegant and ornamental melody in a high range. It is not accompanied by a dance, so it is not a koma-utai (short dance song).
