Dream state - Mugenjotai

Japanese: 夢幻状態 - むげんじょうたい

In Japan, the following three heterogeneous states are expressed with the term dream state: (1) an epileptic seizure called an uncinate fit, (2) a psychotic state in atypical psychiatric disorders such as oneiroide Erlebnisform (German) or oneirophrenia (oneiroider Zustand), and (3) onirisme (French) a dream state seen in symptomatic psychoses, organic psychoses, hallucinogens such as LSD and mescaline, high fever, hysteria, etc.

日本では次のように三つの異質の状態が夢幻状態という言葉で表されている。(1)鉤回（こうかい）発作uncinate fitと呼ばれる癲癇（てんかん）発作dreamy state，(2)夢幻様体験型oneiroide Erlebnisform(ドイツ語)とか夢幻精神病oneirophreniaなどの非定型な精神病における精神病状態oneiroider Zustand(ドイツ語)，(3)症状精神病，器質精神病，LSDやメスカリンなどの幻覚剤，高熱，ヒステリーなどでみられる夢幻症onirisme(フランス語)，である。
