7-chloro-1,3-dihydro-1-methyl-5-phenyl-2H - 1,4-benzodiazepin-2-one. C16H13ClN2O(284.75). Obtained by condensing ₂ - _methylamino -5-chlorobenzophenone with chloroacetyl chloride and then ring _- closing with ammonia. White plate crystals. Melting point 125-126°C. Soluble in chloroform, dimethylformamide, benzene, acetone, and ethanol, slightly soluble in water. Belongs to the minor tranquilizer category and is used for mental and neurological disorders, as well as a hypnotic, skeletal muscle relaxant, and anticonvulsant. _LD50 710 mg/kg (rat, oral). 7-chloro-1,3-dihydro-1-methyl-5-phenyl-2H-1,4-benzodiazepin-2-one．C₁₆H₁₃ClN₂O(284.75)．2-メチルアミノ-5-クロロベンゾフェノンとクロロアセチルクロリドとを縮合させ，アンモニアで閉環させると得られる．白色の板状晶．融点125～126 ℃．クロロホルム，ジメチルホルムアミド，ベンゼン，アセトン，エタノールに可溶，水に微溶．マイナートランキライザーに属し，精神神経疾患に用いられるほか，催眠薬，骨格筋弛緩薬，抗けいれん薬としても使用される．LD₅₀ 710 mg/kg(ラット，経口)．[CAS 439-14-5]
