"Eihyakuryowaka"

...It can be seen that "Yamato damashii" was a spiritual attribute unique to the regent family. The sixth example is "Eihyakuryowaka," which is thought to have been written around the time of the Northern and Southern Courts, much later in history. This collection of 100 waka poems was composed with the names of government positions as titles, and one of them, titled "Hakase Bunsho," goes, "I will not be blinded by the new writings, I will read them open, Yamato and Tamashii." ...
