...A small to medium-sized fudai domain with its headquarters in Yoshida, Mikawa Province (Aichi Prefecture). In 1869 (Meiji 2), when the domain was returned to the Emperor, it was renamed Toyohashi Domain. There were successive changes of daimyo until the mid-modern period: Matsudaira (Takeya) Iekiyo in 1601 (Keicho 6), Matsudaira (Fukamizo) Tadatoshi in 1619, Mizuno Tadakiyo in 1620 (Kan'ei 9), Mizuno Tadayoshi in 1621, Ogasawara Tadatomo in 1645 (Shoho 2), Kuze Shigeyuki in 1797 (Genroku 10), Makino Shigeharu in 1705 (Hoei 2), Matsudaira (Okawachi) Nobutoki in 1621 (Shotoku 2), Matsudaira (Honjo) Sukekuni in 1729 (Kyoho 14), and Matsudaira (Okawachi) Nobunao in 1649 (Kan'en 2).
