... Shortly after the death of Ngo Quyen, local lords divided their territories into different regions, resulting in a state of division. The most powerful of these were Ngo Xuong Si of Pingqiao, Kieu Cong Han of Fengzhou, Nguyen Coan of Santei, Li Que of Chaorui, Nguyen Thu Thiep of Xianyou, Le Duong of Xiaojiang, Nguyen Sieu of Xifulie, Kieu Tuan of Huihu, Phan Bac Ho of Tengzhou, Ngo Nhat Khanh of Tanglin, Do Khanh Thach of Du Dongjiang, and Chan Lam of Bukaikou. Together, they are known as the Twelve Envoys. However, both were limited to the Song Khoy River Delta.
