Alliance of Three Emperors (English: Dreikaiserbund) German

A political agreement concluded between the emperors of Germany, Austria, and Russia as part of Bismarck's diplomacy. In 1873, when the three emperors met in Berlin, Bismarck proposed that the three countries cooperate to maintain the status quo in Europe based on the principle of monarchy in response to the revolutionary trends in Europe centered around the French Republic, and an agreement was reached between the three emperors. However, conflict between Russia and Austria intensified in the Balkans, and this agreement was temporarily shaken. However, thanks to Bismarck's efforts, a neutrality treaty was concluded between the three countries in 1881, and it was renewed in 1883. However, due to the intensifying conflict between Austria and Russia, the treaty was not extended in 1886, and the Alliance of the Three Emperors collapsed.

ビスマルク外交の一環としてドイツ、オーストリア、ロシアの3国皇帝間に結ばれた政治協定。1873年、3国皇帝がベルリンに会したおり、ビスマルクは、共和国フランスを中心とするヨーロッパの革命的諸潮流に対し、3国が君主主義の原則のうえに、ヨーロッパの現状維持のため協力することを提案、3国皇帝の間に同意が成立した。しかし、その後バルカンでロシアとオーストリアの対立が深まり、この協定も一時揺らいだ。しかしビスマルクの努力で1881年3国の間に中立条約が成立、83年にも更新された。しかしオーストリアとロシアの対立が激しくなったため、86年、条約は延長されず、三帝同盟は崩壊した。
