Also known as suppositories. A solid external preparation in which a medical product is mixed evenly with a base and molded into a cone, sphere, spindle, etc., and applied to the anus, urethra, vagina, etc. The base used is cacao butter, lauric butter, glycerol gelatin, or polyethylene glycol.
