Battle of Zama - Battle of Zama
(Zama) A decisive battle in the Second Punic War, fought in 202 BC in Zama, southwest of Carthage in North Africa (near Maktar in northwestern Tunisia today), where the Roman general Scipio the Elder defeated the Carthaginian army led by Hannibal, bringing the Second Punic War to an end.
