Sappu Genki - Sappu Genki

Japanese: 冊府元亀 - さっぷげんき
Sappu Genki - Sappu Genki

Title of a Chinese book. Wang Qinruo, Yang Oku and others began compiling it in 1005 at the imperial command of the Northern Song Dynasty's True School, and completed it in 13 years. It has 1000 volumes. To contribute to the emperor's politics, it lists the political achievements of successive rulers from ancient times to the Five Dynasties, classified into 31 sections and 1115 categories, from the section on imperial rulers to the section on foreign ministers. It was compiled by collecting a wide range of political points from various books and volumes that existed at the time, and was named "Zafu Yuangui." This type of format is called a "ruisho," and along with "Bunen Eika" and "Taihei Gyoran," it is a representative ruisho created during the Northern Song Dynasty. The sections related to the Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties in particular contain historical materials that have been lost and are no longer available, making it a valuable historical resource.
