A town in Kani County in southern Gifu Prefecture. The Kani River, a tributary of the Kiso River, flows west through the center of the town. The main settlements of Mitaka and Fushimi developed as post towns on the Nakasendo road, and the Meitetsu Hiromi Line runs through the town. Rice is cultivated, and companies have set up shop in the industrial park. The town is home to Oniiwa (a scenic spot and natural monument) and Oniiwa Onsen. Area: 56.69 km2 . 岐阜県南部，可児(かに)郡の町。中央部を木曾川の支流可児川が西流する。主集落の御嵩・伏見は中山道の宿場町として発達，名鉄広見線が通じる。稲作を行うほか，工業団地には企業が進出している。鬼岩（名勝・天然記念物），鬼岩温泉がある。56.69km2。１万8824人（2010）。
