An area of a city where restaurants, shops, entertainment facilities, etc. are concentrated and where a large number of people gather on a regular basis. Unlike residential and workplace spaces where individuals' status and roles are determined and highly restrictive, entertainment venues are highly anonymous spaces where people gather and do not even know each other's names. Therefore, people can behave as equal and free human beings, free from their own daily routines, individuality, and hierarchical status. In a sense, this is a world that is appropriate for Heidegger's ``das Man,'' which refers to a state in which everyone is someone else and no one is themselves (Being and Time).
