The first Uighur general of the Yuan Dynasty in China. Born in Bishbalik (Beiting). He served Kublai Khan when he was crown prince, and participated in the expedition to the Southern Song Dynasty. After taking Xiangyang in 1273 (the 10th year of the Yuan Dynasty), he separated from the main forces of Bayan and Ajur, who were advancing to Lin'an, and pacified the Hunan and Guangxi regions. He subjugated the ethnic minorities in the hinterlands, sent troops to Burma, and participated in the plan to invade Zhancheng (Vietnam), becoming the Left Prime Minister of Hu Guangxing Province. In his later years, he fought with the Sang Ge faction and committed suicide in the capital. [Uematsu Tadashi]

中国，元初のウイグル人の将軍。ビシバリク(北庭)の出身。皇太子時代のフビライに仕え，南宋遠征に参加，1273年(至元10)襄陽をおとしいれたのち，臨安に進むバヤン(伯顔)･アジュル(阿朮)の主力軍と別れ，湖南･広西地方を平定した。奥地の少数民族を服属させ，緬国(ビルマ)に出兵，占城(ベトナム)遠征計画にも加わり，湖広行省左丞相となった。晩年サンガ(桑哥)一派と争い，都で自殺した。【植松正】
