Clastic cone
Also called Homate. A type of volcano. A volcano made up of only debris erupted by explosions, such as lapilli and volcanic ash. It is shaped like an upside-down mortar, and is generally small, with few exceeding 2 km in diameter, but its crater is relatively large. It often forms as a parasitic volcano on a larger volcano, and on Mount Fuji they are scattered around Tarobo.

ホマーテとも。火山の種類の一つ。火山礫(れき),火山灰など爆発によって噴出した砕屑物だけからなる火山。すり鉢を伏せたような形をしており,一般に小型で直径2kmを超えるものは少ないが,火口は比較的大きい。大きな火山体の側火山としてできることが多く,富士山では太郎坊付近に散在している。
