Also simply refers to a waist belt. *Suga Family Wensao (c. 900), vol. 2, 28 characters, presented by Xie Zui Zhi as a gift. <Omitted> Further describing the four rhymes, Chongyi Yi Zhi "The waist belt is made up of two or three cups at the back, and is preserved in 47 characters of verbal conversation" [Book of the Later Han - Geng Bing Biography]② Part of the skeleton of paired limbs in vertebrates; the hind limb girdle. It functions to connect the free limbs of paired limbs that protrude outside the body to the spine. The back is made up of the ilium, and the abdomen is made up of the pubic bone and ischium. The form varies depending on the vertebrate. The primitive form was the cartilage suture of fish.

〘名〙① 金属などでつくった帯金がつけてある革の帯。石帯(せきたい)。また、単に腰の帯のこともいう。※菅家文草（900頃）二・二十八字、謝酔中贈衣。〈略〉更述四韻、重以戯之「腰帯両三杯後解、口談四七字中存」〔後漢書‐耿秉伝〕② 脊椎動物の有対肢の骨格の一部、後肢帯のこと。有対肢の体外に突出する部分の自由肢を脊柱に結合する働きがある。背部は腸骨、腹部は恥骨・坐骨などからなる。脊椎動物により形態などが異なる。原始形は魚類の軟骨縫合。
