〘名〙① 腰に締める帯。※俳諧・犬子集(1633)一七「天のはらも十月めにうむ小春哉 時雨の雲は山のこしおび」② 束帯(そくたい)の時、袍(ほう)の腰をたばねる黒塗りの革帯。石帯(せきたい)。ようたい。※書紀(720)天武五年正月癸卯(北野本訓)「高市皇子より以下、小錦より以上の大夫等に、衣袴褶腰帯(こしオヒ)、脚帯(あゆひ)及び、机(おしまつき)賜ふ」③ 水干(すいかん)、狩衣(かりぎぬ)、水衣(みずごろも)、法被(はっぴ)などの上に結び、前にたらす細幅の飾り帯。能装束にも用いる。〔装束集成(1754頃か)〕④ 婦人の和服の付属品。下締めの帯。衣服を身長に合わせて着て、そのあまりの腰にためた部分を帯の内側に整えるため、腰に結ぶ幅の狭いひも。かかえおび。〔書言字考節用集(1717)〕
