Sea Urchin (Sea Urchin) - Sea Urchin

Japanese: フクロウニ(袋海胆) - フクロウニ
Sea Urchin (Sea Urchin) - Sea Urchin
A general term for three species of the genus Asthenosoma , an echinoderm in the family Echinothuriidae, or a species in two or three closely related genera. The shell plates that make up the sea urchin's shell are not fully bonded, making the entire shell flexible and allowing the body to deform. There are a great many shell plates, with 35 to 60 plates in a vertical row of intertrochanteric zones, and the number of trochanteric zone plates is about twice as many. The shell diameter is generally large, reaching 10 to 20 cm, but the height is short at 2 to 4 cm. There are four types of tubular spines.
